LyricShards ("the App") is a watchOS music player that connects to third-party cloud storage and radio services. This page explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.
LyricShards does not operate its own servers and does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data to us or any third party.
When you connect a cloud storage account (Microsoft OneDrive, NextCloud, or Koofr), the App communicates directly with that provider's servers to authenticate and retrieve your file listings and audio files. This connection is made using industry-standard authentication, meaning your account password is never entered into or seen by LyricShards
Access tokens and refresh tokens issued by your connected storage provider are stored locally on your device, in Apple's Keychain, using Apple's standard device-level encryption. These credentials are never transmitted to us and never leave your device except to communicate directly with the storage provider you connected.
Audio files you choose to download are stored locally on your Apple Watch for offline playback and remain under your control; you can delete them at any time from within the App.
LyricShards integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
LyricShards also streams publicly available internet radio content from third-party archives. No account or personal data is required to use this feature.
LyricShards displays advertising through Google Ad Manager, with whom it shares localisation language information
LyricShards does not access or send GPS location, does not request location permissions, and does not send any device advertising identifier (such as the IDFA). You can review Google's own data practices in the Google Privacy Policy and Google's ad-related data disclosure at this page.
LyricShards is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
You can disconnect any cloud storage account at any time from the App's Cloud settings, which removes all locally stored credentials for that provider. Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data, including downloaded audio files and saved credentials.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
